Autumn

The rain will always come
This might be bad for some
And the wind will start to blow
And now clouds will go very low

Autumn is now the season
And it can't be changed anyhow
Autumn is a season surely for one reason
Now that's my poem bow

school soccer

Today, the 22nd of may, the schools soccer competitions had taken place. Its an event that takes place in a very humongous field in which different schools with teams consisting of various ages compete against each other in different organized 20 minutes long soccer matches. And this year I was a part of G.I.S' ( Greenmeadows intermediate school) soccer team!!! Me and other 3 boys, who's not going to be mentioned here, arrived first at the field of our games, and believe me you won't want to arrive first. what us four did when we arrive first were:
  • Carry the goals to their designated positions, it was kinda heavy and what made it more hard to carry was that the steel frame was wet and I almost froze to DEATH!!
  • Organize the cones that will mark half way and the corners, we had to place cones around 3 big fields!
After organizing playing areas the rest of my team arrived, and our matches were shown to us
Here were our matches:
  • G.I.S versus Central Counties
  • G.I.S versus Weymouth intermediate
  • G.I.S versus Manurewa intermediate
  • G.I.S versus Rosehill intermediate
  • Semi finals
I played as a defender against central counties. Our first game against central counties was challenging, their players were good but in the end it came to a tie. Then the honk went and off we went to our next game. It was against Weymouth intermediate in which I came off and became a sub, but even without me we still won against them and no offence to them but they were pretty amateur as my friends said.

A 20 minute rest was then given to our school for there was an odd number of year 8 teams and one had to rest. While resting we watched our school's year 7 team play and we had a bit of a rest. And after that looooooooooong boring rest we then "versed" Manurewa intermediate in which my soccer club's captain, Shady Cowans, was playing for. I played as a defender which was ok for me even it was, as people say the
"boringest" position. My club's team captain sure was tough and skilled but with my team "working together" we surpassed them and became victorious!!!

the luck has been with us just until we " versed " Rosehill intermediate, it was an outstanding defeat for us and starting from that we lost all our semi finals but even if we came 4th and probably last we still were very proud to just to represent GreenMeadows intermediate schoo!!!.....

highlights of this week's game

Well to start off, one of the highlights was we won 3-2. It was a hard game just until our striker, Shady, scored a goal then everything came according to plan, except for the two goals takau scored. But what really was the big highlight for me was being the PLAYER OF THE DAY! So this morning I was all,
Me: If I don't become player of the day I'm going to quit soccer
then after the game.....
Coach: So player of the day Gian for defending so well...
So now I guess soccer is for me.

(my mum edited this photo, I didn't)
This was the only photo I had, I guess I must have been too excited to take more..
The small trophy that I'm holding in the picture was the player of the day award!!

kicking for the win

Just this 21st( 15 days ago ) of April my soccer team, Cosmos, had it's very first game for the season and also the first time with me and my brother!!! It was 11:00am when we arrived at the field when suddenly our manager called and told us there has been a mix up and the game has been moved to rosa birch park. It was because of them being disorganised. So as a result of the sudden mix up we arrived almost halfway through the game good thing we found that place or else we ( my brother and I ) wouldn't have had a game to play.

As soon as we arrived our coach sent me straight to the game as there weren't enough players playing, and as soon as I came in our strikers , Shady and kaudy , scored . the Pukekohe team was made out of tall boys and girls player but from our own side of view during that game, size didn't matter.then a few minutes later my brother was sent in and other players of my team like that eow something guy came. After a few minutes the half time whistle was blown and we went off the field.

our coach gave us oranges to give us some vitamins and some lollies to make us hyperactive.we then did that thing where we had our hands together our hands in the middle and shouted " Cosmos"!!!! The break lasted for about five minutes , then it was game time for us again.

The second half started and its was Pukekohe's kick off . As time passed multiple goals have been scored and
team work has been used. and as the game ended we all cheered for the other team and shook their hands with
our heads high. The final score was 6-4 to us!!! We won our first game ever and it was the most exciting moment ever! and the fact that mum told us she'd buy us the newest Naruto game ever if we won made it even more exciting. At the end Kaudy and our captain shady was awarded the player of the day cup. So as for me, I would work harder and aim to be the player of the day .....

coromandel adventures

This year my family and our friend's family ( as usual ), Justine,Janna and jv, has decided to go to coromandel peninsula. According to the internet this place was filled with white sand, beaches , and view.

When we finally arrived after a long 2 hours drive, we first went to this place filled with pots and trees. They had a tower there which they called "eyefull" tower, they said they named it the eyefull tower because its filled with scenery. To get to the tower we took a small train up to there which we had to wait about 2 hours for, which pretty much wasted time on our first day.

This was the train we had to ride

After the train ride we have decided to finally check in to a cabin but too bad there wasn't any vacancies left as it all was already booked ,so as last resort we were going to sleep in a tent but luckily we found a campervan where we slept in. it was cool inside who could have believed that we'd get to spent a night in a campervan.

that's our first sleep over!!
the next day the weather hasn't been quite nice to us, IT WAS RAINING!!!
because of that we weren't able to do the following things:
  • walk around early in the morning
  • "hike" down to Cathedral cove
  • do whatever we wanted in a sunny day
  • enjoy dry sand
this was the beach beside the campervan we rented.

And finally final destination: Hot water beach,

the weather was starting to get better

A place to dig sand, make saunas that can heat up up to 60 degrees celcius ( our hole was too shallow for the volcanic rocks underground to heat it up), and surf!!!.We were too young to surf so we just body boarded. Even though the weather hasn't quite been nice we still enjoyed every single moment of it!!

And that was coromandel peninsula ................

Last day of term

early in the morning my sleep was devastated by my dad's big voice, even though it wasn't a good way to start a morning I was still excited as it was the last day of term!! meaning , 2 weeks of vacation!!! I was so excited that I was left behind by the school bus so I had to go with my dad's friend.

The first thing I did at school was play with my classmates then I had my last walk around the school with my friend.the last activity for the term was to finish our info report about a very old tragedy "the Christchurch earthquake", then we had a quiz . every answer we get right earns us a chocolate, the questions were hard but it was just ordinary for us to answer them. After the quiz we had a very boring duffy school assembly, its when a special someone comes to our school and tells us about reading books. During this assembly kids get awarded with certificates and books, then there comes a part of the assembly when they raffle names of the best homework made by students and award them with either 2 rainbows end tickets or paradise Ice skating tickets ( too bad I didn't put much effort into my homework and I wasn't selected to go to the raffle), one of my classmates was selected.

And so school ended and I went home to rest and I went straight to my soccer training,I was really tired
but we went to our friends house to play with them afterwards. We went back home near midnight. So that's last day of term!!

bad things about games

Sure the fun factor is always the thing with games but sometimes bad luck comes with it too. Just tonight before my dad left I have been playing some games and so when he asked me to check if our neighbor's car was blocking our car ( my dad works every night and were we park, one of our cars ,is shared with our neighbor). I didn't quite understand what he meant by "check if there's something at the back of our car" and so I said there ain't any cars in front, but unfortunately there was a car in front of his and so he banned me from my computer for a MONTH! ( good thing I had enough time to finish this post) and I'm sure I'm always gonna get growled at for a loooooooooooooong time now that our flats have moved away.
 so bad things about games

  • takes away concentration
  • doesn't give knowledge ( except for knowledge of that game)
  • can get you banned
  • this is all i can think of because of computer games
